I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 KJV
Have you ever felt like you just couldn’t go any further because you felt so weak from the battle you were in? I am sure you know what I mean because every single one of us has had difficult times in our lives but we made it through those moments. And if you are not out of it yet you will soon. Praise the Lord!
When the Apostle Paul wrote the scripture he remembered the hard times he had already gone through. There were times when Paul was in need but as he held on to the Lord Jesus he made it through. There were also times when he had an abundance and he gave thanks to the Lord. No matter if he was overflowing with what ever he needed or was lacking he found a way to be happy. One time he even wrote, “I think myself happy” in Acts 26:2.
Many times we need to focus our thinking on something positive. If we focus on negative thoughts we could feel like the Apostle Peter who started walking on water but then began to sink as he looked at the storm and the surrounding doom. He took his eyes off of Jesus just for a moment and that is all it takes.
When you face difficulties think yourself happy! Focus on the the testimony you will be giving that will glorify God. Yes, it’s not easy but we MUST do it! Sometimes your own soul can be your biggest enemy. We must renew our soul (mind) daily with the Word of God and declare it out loud so we can hear the truth again and again. Hearing that truth encourages us, strengthens us and your faith is ignited.
God has given us the victory through His son Jesus Christ. Only you can change the outcome with your thinking and then quitting. If the ending is not a good one He can always take a bad thing and make it good for His glory. The Lord is your strength and he said:
…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
So whatever you are facing remember the Lord is your strength and you are not going through it alone. He is with you! Draw upon that strength and know that you can do all things with Him.
