For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. ~ Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV

Do you think your good works save you? Do you think your goodness or good behavior saves you? On the contrary, it was a gift that was given to you. You are saved through faith in Jesus Christ. It does not matter how good you are or if you attend church weekly that makes you Holy. You are Holy and saved because the one you accepted into your heart makes you Holy. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit live inside of you. You are a part of God when you have the Trinity living in you. It would be impossible for God and Jesus to deny themselves when you are face to face with them.

God made it this way so no person could boast about themselves. It is by grace (God’s unmerited favor and power working through mankind) through faith that saves you just like the scripture states. His grace was given as a gift to you because he loves you and always has.
