Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. ~ James 5:20 KJV
How are sins hidden? According to this scripture when you help someone be saved you have covered a multitude of your own sins. We are not perfect and the Bible tells we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) We need to reach those around us who are dying. They are not just dying physically but they will be eternally separated from God the father. the Bible describes a place where there will be gnashing and grinding of teeth. The torment will be so bad the person will wish they were dead and they cannot die and the anguish never ends.
Don’t be afraid to mess up! You may approach a person in the wrong way, you forget what to say or the person may even reject you but remember the more you try the better you will be. Ask Him for wisdom on what to say. Many times sharing your testimony is a way to present Jesus. How did he change your life? In the book of revelation there is a scripture that says the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. ~ Revelation 19:10 KJV
Sharing your testimony can cause the spirit of prophecy to work for the person you are speaking. He can reveal things about the person that can touch their heart and they will know only God knew that information. God is ready to work through you. Don’t stop the flow of his grace through your life.
