Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:50 KJV
What does it mean when it says “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God”? A person who has not accepted Jesus as their savior is a person who is flesh and blood. They do not have the Spirit of God living in them because they did not ask. Therefore, at this point, they are not able to inherit the Kingdom of God. The kingdom is God’s and he is a Spirit so they must have a part of them be the spirit of God. They need to become a part of God’s family to receive their inheritance.
How does one receive this? They must hear the Gospel, which is the good news about Jesus Christ and then confess it with their own mouth that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died, was buried and resurrected to be seated at the right hand of God the Father.
The scripture above is leading into what will happen to all the believers in the second coming of Jesus Christ. He will transform all the people who are his into a body that is incorruptible and never dies. This is part of our inheritance as believers. We will live forever. We have all been created to live forever but the difference is WHERE will you live forever? Will you be in outer darkness where there is pain and gnashing of teeth or will you be in His presence experiencing pleasures forever? It is up to you! You have the choice now.
