The name of Jesus is filled with power and it is above any name you know. When you believe that His name is powerful and truly means something to you amazing things happen. You won’t be fearful anymore, the devil must flee, sickness leaves your body, you are made whole again. That is truth!

In the day of Pentecost, Peter used the name of Jesus to heal a man that was lame since birth.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. (Acts 3:6)

Sometimes people teach that was only for the disciples. But the truth is it is for all of us since that day. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day and for ever. (Hebrew 13:8)

Jesus commissioned his disciples for ministry. That commission applies to ALL of us today.

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.  (Matthew 10:1)

Jesus said if you ask in his name it will be done.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. (John 14:12-14)

Jesus is actually praying for us in heaven when we ask in His name.

At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: (John 16:26)

Signs and wonders will follow if you use His name in faith. God will prove His word true with evidence.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (Mark 16:17)

These are just a few examples showing us there is power in Jesus’ name. So put your trust in His name. Let the power of His name change you and those around you!
