The Lord’s 3 Mandates

Jesus is the son of God but you probably never thought about what he must accomplish for the Father. I see there are three mandates of his own he needs to accomplish. I have not seen this before until he showed me. Even though these are three assignments we do not realize the magnitude of what he was tasked to do. These tasks involve the earth, the spirit realm and everything else.

* Mandate #1 * Earth

The first task Jesus has is to glorify God on earth and overcome death with his own body. He accomplished this when he was hung and died on the cross. This would take care of the flesh of the body on earth. People are still in the process of being transformed into the image of Christ.

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. John 4:24 KJV

I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. John 17:4 KJV

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. John 19:30 KJV

We notice in these scriptures that Jesus tells us he has something specific he has to do and he shows this part was accomplished by saying it is finished.

* Mandate #2 * Heaven

The second is to transform those who believe in him to be like him in spirit, soul, and body. This will be accomplished when the rapture of the church occurs with the last blow of the trumpet. This would address the spirit realm. It would bring the followers of Christ into the spirit realm when our bodies are transformed from one state to another. 

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52 

People will be transformed into an incorruptible body similar to what Jesus has now. 

And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. Revelation 16:17 KJV

This will only be complete once the last trumpet is blown. The voice from heaven in this passage is the Lord Jesus and once more he says, it is done.

* Mandate #3 * Everything Else

The third is to destroy his enemies and hand the kingdom over to the Father. This will happen after the millennial reign reveals the final enemies of God and they are destroyed. This would address anyone who is left and is not totally on board with the Kingdom of God. 

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 1 Corinthians 15:25 KJV

Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. Hebrews 2:8 KJV

The book of Hebrews reveals that we have not seen all things put under him yet. He must fill everything with himself. This is his final mandate and he will complete it. Hallelujah!
